Generator Rotor Overhaul and Special Items
1. Measure the air gap;
2. Check the tightness of the ventilation system;
3. Remove the rotor: inspect and clean the rotor, check the installation of the sleeve; inspect and measure for any displacement, deformation of the sleeve, and whether the gap at the joint of the segmented sleeve has changed; inspect the rotor core, fan, shaft neck and balance weight block; inspect the binding wire of the wound-rotor; check for any blockage of the ventilation holes;
4. Inspect and clean the brush frame, slip ring, leads, adjust the brush pressure, replace the brush (including the grounding brush), polish the slip ring, and if necessary, machine the slip ring;
Special Items:
1. Handle inter-turn short circuits and grounding of the windings; replace the insulation of the rotor windings, pull out the sleeve and clean the end windings;
2. Replace the rotor structural components (rotor core, sleeve, etc.);
3. Replace the rotor leads, replace the slip ring;
