On January 29, China First Heavy Industries organized a product appraisal meeting for the “300MW-class F-series gas turbine rotor forging” in Qiqihar. Zhang Hao, Member of the Party Committee Standing Committee and Deputy General Manager of the Group Corporation; Wu Zhiquan, Party Secretary and Chairman of China United Heavy Gas Turbine Technology Co., Ltd.; and Gao Yuzhong, Member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager, attended the meeting.
At the appraisal meeting, experts from Tsinghua University, Shanghai Turbine Works, Harbin Turbine Works, Northwestern Polytechnical University, and the Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences reviewed the progress report on the development of gas turbine rotor forgings by China First Heavy Industries. Following on-site verification, questioning, and deliberation, unanimously concluded that China First Heavy Industries had successfully completed the trial production of representative prototype forgings for the 300MW-class F-grade gas turbine rotor. The inspection results met the technical specifications, demonstrating the company's capability to manufacture complete sets of forgings for the 300MW-class F-grade gas turbine rotor, thereby fulfilling the technical requirements for product orders.

Heavy-duty gas turbines are hailed as the crown jewel of the equipment manufacturing industry. Achieving independent control over their core technologies is a strategic cornerstone for national energy security and advancing high-end equipment manufacturing capabilities. As the vital components of gas turbines, their quality and performance directly determine the reliability, efficiency, and lifespan of the entire unit. Through persistent technological breakthroughs, China First Heavy Industries has overcome a series of critical challenges in materials and thermal processing—including ultra-pure steel ingot smelting, fine-grain control, matching strength and toughness, uniformity heat treatment, and micro-equivalent defect control. These advancements provide robust technical support for China's independent manufacturing and application of heavy-duty gas turbines.
Through this project, China First Heavy Industries has established a theoretical framework and technical standards tailored for manufacturing large-section turbine discs for heavy-duty gas turbines. This breakthrough holds profound strategic significance for advancing the development of new power systems, achieving the “dual carbon” goals, and safeguarding the security of China's energy industry chain. China Heavy Gas Turbine has achieved a series of breakthroughs in developing its 300MW-class F-series heavy-duty gas turbine. The first prototype has completed final assembly, ignition, full-load testing, and preliminary reliability verification, with the second prototype nearing final assembly.

The Significance of Steam Turbine Generator Maintenance
Turbine maintenance is a systematic process involving planned, targeted inspections, cleaning, repairs, and testing to identify potential equipment defects, eliminate operational failures, and restore rated performance.
Causes of Increased Temperature in Steam Turbine Thrust Bearings
The turbine thrust bearing serves as the core component for axial force balancing and rotor axial positioning within the unit.
How do turbine blades affect unit efficiency and safety?
First, understand a key fluid dynamics concept—the boundary layer. According to Prandtl's boundary layer theory, when viscous steam flows over a blade surface, an extremely thin fluid layer forms near the wall.
Hazards of Vacuum Leaks in Steam Turbines and Practical Leak Detection Methods
Condenser vacuum is a core parameter in the thermal cycle of steam turbine units. Vacuum leakage represents one of the most common failures in power plant turbines, occurring when external air or non-condensable gases infiltrate the condenser or vacuum system through equipment gaps.
Understanding Axial Displacement and Thermal Expansion in Steam Turbines
Shaft displacement Refers to the displacement of the shaft. Generally, axial displacement changes are small in magnitude. When axial displacement is positive, the shaft moves toward the generator.
How Does Main Steam Pressure Affect the Economic Efficiency of a Power Plant?
Main steam pressure refers to the pressure value of the high-temperature, high-pressure steam generated by the boiler before it enters the steam turbine, typically measured in megapascals (MPa).
