Turbine Cylinder Maintenance

Turbine cylinder maintenance is a critical step in ensuring the safe operation of the unit. It must strictly adhere to standardized procedures, covering core elements such as temperature control, tool preparation, disassembly steps, cleaning and inspection, replacement of wear parts, and quality control.

1. Pre-Maintenance Preparation: Gather drawings and documentation, prepare specialized on-site tools and materials, obtain maintenance work permits, isolate steam supply and exhaust lines, install safety warning signs, and equip personnel with protective gear.

2. Cylinder Disassembly:

● Remove turbine casing and insulation

● Dismantle connecting components

3.Hoist and invert upper cylinder

4. Hoisting and removal of internal cylinder partitions; cleaning and inspection of cylinder inner walls and partitions:

● Visual inspection

● Dimensional measurement

● Non-destructive testing

5. Replacement of wear parts (e.g., steam seal rings, springs or spring plates); inspection and adjustment of steam seal clearances.

6. Routine replacement of standard wear parts (e.g., packing rings, sealing rings, bolts, gaskets).
