Product Description
The turbine emergency shutdown throttle (also known as the emergency shutdown spool valve) serves as the core control valve in the unit's emergency shutdown system. Installed within the turbine's front bearing housing or hydraulic control box, it is connected in series within the control oil circuit. Its primary function is to receive mechanical trigger signals from the emergency shutdown device (fly hammer/fly ring) to rapidly switch the oil circuit state. This cuts off the oil supply to actuators like the main steam valve and regulating valve, forcing valve closure. It serves as the critical link between “mechanical overspeed triggering” and “hydraulic shutdown execution,” directly ensuring the reliability of unit emergency shutdown.
1. Primary Functions:
1) Mechanically triggers oil circuit switching.
2) Signal amplification: Unloads safety oil/AST oil to amplify the interlock signal, closing all valves.
3) Reset and interlock linkage.
2. Common Failures:
1) Failure of fly hammer to trigger during overspeed (most critical failure);
2) False triggering during normal operation;
3) Delayed response or incomplete oil unloading;
4) Oil circuit leakage.
