1. Steam turbine steam seal springs are critical components of the steam sealing system, primarily serving the following functions:
1) Maintaining standard clearance: Elastically presses the steam seal arc blocks toward the rotor shaft centerline to ensure clearance between moving and stationary parts meets design specifications.
2) Friction protection: When the steam seal blocks contact the rotor, the spring plates reduce friction pressure through elastic deflection, preventing thermal bending of the main shaft.
2. Common Materials:
1) 65Mn Spring Steel: High-carbon steel offering high hardness and wear resistance, suitable for general operating conditions.
2) 30W4Cr2VA Heat-Resistant Spring Steel: Contains tungsten, chromium, and vanadium for high-temperature resistance (≤500°C), specifically designed for high-temperature components like turbine steam seals.
Stainless steel (e.g., 3Cr13): Martensitic stainless steel with corrosion resistance, requiring quenching + high-temperature tempering treatment.
