The steam turbine steam seal spring is a critical component of the steam sealing system, primarily serving to maintain the clearance between moving and stationary parts while reducing friction risks.
Working Principle
1) Elastic Compression Function: Utilizing the elastic force generated by the deformation of the spring plate, it presses the steam seal ring toward the rotor shaft center, ensuring the clearance between moving and stationary parts meets design specifications.
2) Friction Yielding Mechanism: During abnormal contact between the rotor and steam seal ring, the elastic deformation of the spring plate allows the steam seal block to yield outward by approximately 0.1-0.2mm. This effectively reduces friction between moving and stationary parts and prevents thermal bending of the main shaft.
Material: Stainless steel such as 3Cr13-5.
