The oil retaining ring of the steam turbine bearing housing is a key component that prevents lubricating oil from leaking out and steam from entering the bearing housing.
1. Main functions:
1) Prevent the lubricating oil from splashing or leaking from the rotor main shaft towards the steam cylinder side;
2) Prevent the steam leaking from the steam cylinder shaft seal position from entering the bearing box interior, causing serious consequences such as lubricating oil contamination and emulsification.
3) The oil retaining ring is designed with a heat insulation plate to isolate the heat emitted by the steam cylinder from being transmitted to the bearing box, causing the bearing bush temperature to rise.
Design and material:
1) The oil retaining ring of the steam turbine bearing housing is usually made of cast steel and is designed in a split type. The upper and lower halves of the ring are respectively embedded in the installation slots of the bearing housing.
2) The inner circle of the ring is embedded with a brass sheet, and the tooth tips are processed into a high-low comb-like structure in coordination with the rotor main shaft flange.
According to the outer and inner hole dimensions of the oil retaining ring, a ferrous heat insulation plate is installed at the axial position on its outer surface.
Installation location:
It is generally installed at the front bearing housing of the steam turbine (on the high-pressure cylinder side) and the rear bearing housing of the steam turbine (on the exhaust cylinder side).
